2006 AD, Ethiopia: US backed invasion.

2007 AD to present: US war in Somalia fought in Somalia and Northeastern Kenya. US is aided by Somalia, United Kingdom, Kenya, Ethiopia, and AMISM. Against Al-Shabaab, Hizbul Islam, perhaps supported by Darsh and Eritrea.

2008 AD: War on persons in afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen. Trying to kill suspected ''terrorists.

2009 AD to 2016 AD: Operation  Ocean Shield in the Indian Ocean. NATO, US. Malaysia, Norway, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, and India VS Somali pirates. The results included victory for NATO allies, attacks have decreased, but attacks still occur near the coast waters of Oman, Yemen, Kenya, and Somalia. The office of Naval Intelligence has officially reported that in 2013 only nine incidence of piracy were reported and that none of them were successful. Piracy dropped 90%.

2011 AD: Withdrawal of U. S. forces from Iraq.

~ American-led Intervention in Libya as part of the Libyan Crisis in Libya. In the conflict NATO, US, UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, France and Greece faced Libya. Results included victory by NATO and allies, Overthrow of Gaddafi government and death of Muammar Gaddafi; Assumption of interim control by the National Transitional Council, NTC; Diplomatic recognition of NTC as sole governing authority for Liby by105 countries, UN, EU, AI,and AU.Post-civil war violence in Libya, leading to the ongoing war in 2014.

1997 AD, North America: Joe Sanders and an interdisciplinary group of scientists published important findings about Watson Break archaeological site in Science. They presented solid evidence that Middle Archaic hunter-gatherers constructed monumental earthworks at Watson Break. Science

1998 AD to 1999 AD, US: Kosovo war. Part of the Yugoslav Wars located in Serbia. It was fought by KLA,AFRK. Albana, Croatia, United States, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom against FR Yugoslavia!!! and included the bombing of Novi Sad. It resulted, among other things in victory of the allies: Yugoslavia forces pull out of Kosovo, de facto separation of Kosovo from FR Yugoslavia under UN administration, return of Albanian refugees, KLa veterans join the UCPMB, starting the Presevo insurgency, Russia uses Kosovo as pretext for Crimea, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia interventions. The joys of modern killing.

~ Operation of infinite Reach in Sudan and Afghanistan with unpleasant ongoing results. It was fought by the US against al-Qaeda, sudan, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen Lashkar-e-Taiba. Results were mixed. Strikes hit targets but failed objectives; al-Qaeda suffers damage and casualties, however its senior leaders survive the strikes; Al shifa pharmaceutical plant destroyed.The benefits of years of making war.

~ US: Joe DiMaggio played ball and then died at 84.

~ US: Crime rate falls for the 7th consecutive year.

~ US Bombing of Iraq. US missile strikes against Afghanistan and Sudan.

1999 AD: US Kosovo war.

2,000 AD, Anthropocene: was coined by Paul Crutzen and Eugene Stoermer as a name for our current epoch and now it is being used as a term of man's presence on Earth. A bit awkward because we do not know how long we have been here. But, it looks like it will be around for awhile.

2001 AD: "U.S. war on terror in Afghanistan." How can anyone war with terror? How can terror defend itself? War is made on people by people.

~  This is a marker date for the regular cycle of solar activities which repeat in approximately each 22 years. 

2002 AD: U.S. war on terror in Afghanistan and Yemen.

2014 AD Solar cycle 24-25. A fairly regular set of various solar activities significantly effecting our life on Earth.

 1975 AD to 1984 AD

1975 AD: Vietnam the fall of the South and the rise of the Nation. US economic and military aid had continued to the bilacous faction of South Vietnam had continued to this date. The capture of Saigon marked the end of the war. The war had cost the death of about 4 million Vietnamese, 2 million Laotians and Cambodians, and 58,159 US soldiers.

1976 AD to 1978 AD, US: No Major wars. 

~ U.K: Elizabeth II, queen of the UK, sent an email message from the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment.`

~ China: An Earthquake in the Tungshan area of that country took about 750,000 lives!

~ US: It seems I was a licenced mail order stamp dealer in Manhattan Beach, California!

~ to 1978 AD, USA: Seems that I was also an unlicensed paper hanger.

1977 AD to 1980 AD: the Dem., Jimmy Carter was US President.

~ Stratigraphy: Thanks to Wikipedia. The global Commission on Stratigraphy(now the International Commission on Stratigraphy)began to define the global references known as GSSp(Global Boundary Stratotype Sections and Points) for geologic periods and faunal stages.

July to October of 1980, USA: My memory of my doings are less than clear. My notes say that I was hanging wall paper while living in Lennox, California. It seems to me that about this time I was getting two houses ready to sell and teach classes of 4th 5th and 6th graders. And that before Christmas of  1980 I was in Spain after spending time in Iceland, passing through Belgium and England, spending time in Ireland and France. I was a busy boy.

1978 AD, USA: There was an exceptionally strong blizzard in New England.

~ USA: It seems that I sold the Osage property, in Lennox. That sees about right. I remember that I had wanted to buy and fix up other property, but the market was not right in southern Cal and explains my trip to NY, through western Europe including a bit of Greece and on through India to a stay in Sri Lanka.

~ USA: The Salton Sea of California surface elevation was recorded at 228 feet below sea level.

~ February 10th, USA: Fufino Contreas, UFW martyr, shot to death near Calexico, California.

~ November, USA: I was touring in Massachusetts.

~ June 8th, USA: Women Coal Miners Association was founded.

~ August, USA: PATCO workers struck only to be fired by President Reagan!

~ I was sandblasting, waterblasting, and refinishing luxury log cabins and condos as a private contractor in Mammoth Lake, California.

1980 AD: Cold War. CIA Proxy war in Afghanistan.

1980 AD to 1990 AD, North America: US southern states began to claim their part of pre-Columbian history and archaeology more effectively.

~ July, USA: United Farm Workers started third grape boycott in protest of farm labor law non enforcement. I was difficult to imagine that such non enforcement could happen in America.
